DON’T GET BROWNED OFF THIS AUTUMN – JOIN THE GWC!
28th September 2009 - SUMMER may be gently departing, and with it, green lawns and gardens. But autumn’s imminent arrival means there’s still lots for East Northamptonshires’ gardeners to do, sweeping up leaf fall and cutting back and clipping plants so that their gardens will look marvelous next spring.
The great news for those gardeners who might be dreading autumnal chores is that the popular East Northamptonshire Green Waste Club (GWC) has dramatically pruned its own prices. So there’s nothing to stop you joining up and benefiting from its flexible and efficient collection service that helps make gardening a little easier.
Thanks to the continuing support of East Northamptonshire Council, the cost of joining the GWC for the final six months of the current 2009/10 year has been cut by half, effective from 1st October.
That means that six months membership of the GWC costs just £20, including VAT and delivery of your very own dedicated wheeled bin. That’s the equivalent of paying just £1.54 to have your garden waste collected every fortnight from your kerbside by the friendly efficient staff of Verdant
In the last five months, over 3,000 members of the East Northamptonshire GWC have so far collected almost 700 tonnes of garden waste for composting, making an important contribution to reducing waste and the production of highly damaging methane gas.
So don’t delay – take advantage of this incredible offer and join the Green Waste Club today. Just log on to www.greenwasteclub.co.uk and click on the East Northamptonshire Council logo, or call 0800 781 7135.
